Pork Chili Verde

Pork Chili Verde This is so good with leftover pulled pork like the Kalua Pig Recipe here  or any pulled pork recipe you have should work. But the Kalua Pig Recipe is the best pork in the world.... #fightme Let's get started because it takes an hour to cook!  Serves: 8 Time: 1 hour and 15 minutes INGREDIENTS: 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil 1 Yellow Onion (diced) 4 Cups of cooked Pulled Pork 2 Cups Salsa Verde 4 (15 oz) Cans of White Beans 8 Cups Chicken Stock (I used bone broth) 2 teaspoons Cumin 1 teaspoon chili powder Salt Optional: Garnish with green onions and cilantro Feel free to adjust this recipe based on how much pork you want to use. DIRECTIONS: 1. In a large stockpot add the oil, onion, and salt. (Cook until the onions are translucent) 2. Throw in the pork and cook about 5 minutes. 3. Add the salsa verde to the pot and simmer. 4. Rinse the white beans and add them to the pot.  5. Add the chicken

Easiest pork EVER

Kalua Pig Okay this recipe takes all day in your slow cooker, but seriously so easy!!!! I got this recipe from a blog called Whole30 Cooking. And they call it Kalua Pig, which is just so cool and I love it. I love that you can eat pork on Whole30! Life is good. Also, click here to see what to do with your leftovers! Anyway, onto the recipe. INGREDIENTS: 5 lbs pork shoulder  2 tablespoons liquid smoke  2-3 tablespoons Pink Himalayan Salt  DIRECTIONS: 1. Rinse pork and pat dry. Place in a slow cooker.  2. Stab holes all over the pork with a knife. 3. On one side put 1 Tbs. of liquid smoke and 1 Tbs. of salt and the same on the other side.  4. Cook on low for 10 hours. (I know it's a long time) Shred (but not too thin) in slow cooker and serve.  Serve with charred cabbage or really anything. You can buy a head of cabbage or shredded cabbage (because Trader Joe's only has shredded cabbage, punks). And I threw it in a skillet with some oil,

Reasons My Online Recipes Look The Way They Do.

So, I read this article the other day by Buzzfeed. I know everything is by them, but hear me out. It was talking about why online recipes are literally the worst. And I saw myself cracking up at every point. Here is the article Right!?!?! It's so true, but the one that hit me the most was when bloggers tell you their entire life stories and then they finally give the recipe at the end. I see myself going on Pinterest and just scrolling to the bottom every time. I read them sometimes, once I've picked a recipe. They are somewhat useful. Sometimes they'll throw in little cooking tricks that if you didn't use on this recipe it would be terrible. Anyway, so I have decided I am just going to post delicious recipes and pictures of delicious food. Maybe a 'I LOVE CHEESE' or something short here and there, but I want my posts to be all about the recipe! How do I make it and what do I need! I am also a huge component for as little ingredients as p

100 Day Creativity Challenge (Days 92-100)

Okay, So I have a couple extra days in this post, but it's the last post!!!!! 100 DAYS!!!!! I am the coolest! Leading off with #DAY92 with my all time favorite motivational quote! It's seriously amazing, and online it has an extra part, but I didn't think that was appropriate for social media.... For #DAY93 I was sitting around knowing I wanted to do some block letters, but couldn't think of anything to write. Then my hubbers walked in the door and here it is. It was a quick doodle, but he really liked it. So, it's a keeper. Now #DAY94 I made this amazing WHOLE30 approved gumbo with cauliflower rice!!!! It was so amazing, very spicy, but will eat again after the diet..... probably with real rice, but that's okay. PS, don't you just love my parsley garnish??? So artsy. Hahahaha! Recipe here And this is #DAY95. I only have 5 days left.... this is insane. I'm sure all my family and friends are happy it's almost over... Anyway, I p

100 Day Creativity Challenge (Days 85-91)

We are almost done with this 100 Day Challenge. How crazy is that? Who knew I could do anything for 100 Days?!?! #DAY85 I had some trouble with my T.... I couldn't get it perfect.... so I sent out a picture of both sides of Practice.... Quite embarrassing, but that's why we practice. BECAUSE I'M NOT PERFECT! Don't know why I yelled back there, I apologize. Ok, so #DAY86 I was really feeling the WHOLE30 cravings...... So, I chose this cute little quote to get me through. #DAY87, I had more leftover pork. You remember the nachos? Well, I had made a huge shoulder earlier in the week and still had some leftover. So, my husband came up with pork green chili. YUMMM!!! So, I scoured pinterest for a Whole30 compliant version and I found one that came pretty close, but it had white beans. It said I could leave the beans out, but I just couldn't. And I'm glad I didn't! They made the dish. Anyway, I will write up a recipe for it here . #DAY88 I d

Chicken Avocado Salad

If you are looking for Whole30 recipes that still taste good and fill you up? You have come to the right place. This chicken avocado salad is delicious and versatile. You can serve it on top of toasted sweet potatoes, lettuce, bread (if you aren't doing whole30), or really anything. I chose sweet potato toast. Slice your potato about one fourth of an inch and put it in the toaster 2 or 3 times. Depending on how toasted you want it. AVOCADO CHICKEN SALAD Serves 4 2 Chicken Breast (cut into chunks or shredded) 1 Avocado (partially mashed) 1/2   tsp.  Sea Salt 1 Tbs. of Lime Juice 4 slices of chopped up Bacon 1/2   tsp.  Garlic Powder 1/2   tsp.   Onion Powder 1/4   tsp.   Cumin

100 Day Creativity Challenge (Days 78-84)

OKAY! I am finally back home, so my posts should be way better- let's see. #DAY78 I made some January goals. Health, money, creativity, and love. These are the different aspects of my life that are important.... or at least what I could think of at that time. Then, #DAY79 I messed around on Procreate on my Ipad again. I will get GREAT at this. It's a matter of time. HAHA! I need to practice... and buy special brushes. Anyway... Now, #DAY80. Only twenty more days, how crazy. I made a WHOLE30 timeline. So, when I write a blog later I will have notes on how I felt each day. So far nothing has happened, I had an infection from all the travel and whatnot and didn't want to eat anyway. So that was helpful. Sorry for the comments.... For #DAY81 I made a yummy Whole30 compliant meal for dinner. My husband made it into tacos... I wanted a salad. BOTH WERE DELICIOUS! Sidenote: Chicken thighs are delicious. And now #DAY82. Today I was feeling a little dow
