100 Day Creativity Challenge (Days 92-100)

Okay, So I have a couple extra days in this post, but it's the last post!!!!! 100 DAYS!!!!! I am the coolest!

Leading off with #DAY92 with my all time favorite motivational quote! It's seriously amazing, and online it has an extra part, but I didn't think that was appropriate for social media....

For #DAY93 I was sitting around knowing I wanted to do some block letters, but couldn't think of anything to write. Then my hubbers walked in the door and here it is. It was a quick doodle, but he really liked it. So, it's a keeper.

Now #DAY94 I made this amazing WHOLE30 approved gumbo with cauliflower rice!!!! It was so amazing, very spicy, but will eat again after the diet..... probably with real rice, but that's okay. PS, don't you just love my parsley garnish??? So artsy. Hahahaha! Recipe here

And this is #DAY95. I only have 5 days left.... this is insane. I'm sure all my family and friends are happy it's almost over... Anyway, I posted my yummy lunch and dinner. What I love about Whole 30 is you can make everything so easily and similar ingredients from the day before, but it is a completely new dish. Here is my arugula salad with roasted green peppers and chicken with dump ranch (That I totally messed up and made more of an italian dressing.... always use light olive oil...). Then sweet potato fries on the side. And for dinner I had a kielbasa, pepper, and potato hash. So much yum!

Then there is #DAY96. I know, I know. I posted a lot of food back to back and it's all not that cool, but I am proud of myself and feel I am being creative, but I understand. Anyway, I made my own pesto. I know, I'm a hippy. Zucchini noodle pesto with chicken and sundried tomatoes. My husband was drooling.

This is #DAY97. Remember when I talked about feeling passion behind a quote? So this brought me back my passion. It's amazing. I literally looked up quotes and laughed at my screen in my apartment alone for 20 minutes. 20 MINUTES!! I didn't have a stopwatch but roughly 20 MINUTES! I thought it was so funny and cute, and I decided I needed a new kitchen chalk sign. (I still had a Christmas one up..... Judgment, I know). This was perfect. I showed it to my husband and he chuckled lightly and said, that's cute. Oh no, he didn't get it.... So, I exaggerated out the TO MA TOES part. Then he died, and our marriage made sense again. I love you from my head to my toes!!!!

Reasons My Online Recipes Look The Way They Do.

So, I read this article the other day by Buzzfeed. I know everything is by them, but hear me out. It was talking about why online recipes are literally the worst. And I saw myself cracking up at every point. Here is the article Right!?!?! It's so true, but the one that hit me the most was when bloggers tell you their entire life stories and then they finally give the recipe at the end. I see myself going on Pinterest and just scrolling to the bottom every time. I read them sometimes, once I've picked a recipe. They are somewhat useful. Sometimes they'll throw in little cooking tricks that if you didn't use on this recipe it would be terrible. Anyway, so I have decided I am just going to post delicious recipes and pictures of delicious food. Maybe a 'I LOVE CHEESE' or something short here and there, but I want my posts to be all about the recipe! How do I make it and what do I need! I am also a huge component for as little ingredients as p...

Easiest pork EVER

Kalua Pig Okay this recipe takes all day in your slow cooker, but seriously so easy!!!! I got this recipe from a blog called Whole30 Cooking. And they call it Kalua Pig, which is just so cool and I love it. I love that you can eat pork on Whole30! Life is good. Also, click here to see what to do with your leftovers! Anyway, onto the recipe. INGREDIENTS: 5 lbs pork shoulder  2 tablespoons liquid smoke  2-3 tablespoons Pink Himalayan Salt  DIRECTIONS: 1. Rinse pork and pat dry. Place in a slow cooker.  2. Stab holes all over the pork with a knife. 3. On one side put 1 Tbs. of liquid smoke and 1 Tbs. of salt and the same on the other side.  4. Cook on low for 10 hours. (I know it's a long time) Shred (but not too thin) in slow cooker and serve.  Serve with charred cabbage or really anything. You can buy a head of cabbage or shredded cabbage (because Trader Joe's only has shredded cabbage, punks). And I threw it in a s...
