My Secret Recipe Book (Homemade Noodles)

Here's another recipe for you! Homemade egg noodles. Simple, but delicious. No cooling overnight or anything fancy. I've made these a couple times now, and they always steal the show. I need to remember they would be perfect with just some chicken broth, chicken, and veggies. I always go a little fancy, and don't get me wrong- it's delicious. But makes me tired and full for the rest of the night. So, keep it simple and check out the recipe below.  Homemade Egg Noodles Serves: 6 INGREDIENTS: 2 cups Flour 4 Eggs (beaten) 1/2 tsp salt 6 cups chicken broth (for cooking the noodles in) DIRECTIONS: Beat eggs, add the salt and flour. Stir with a fork until combined.  Roll out on a floured surface (keep flour handy during this part). With a pizza cutter, cut the rolled out dough into this noodles (whatever size you choose). Place the noodles in the boiling broth, and simmer for 20 minutes.  Boiling the noodles in the brot

My Secret Recipe Book (Chicken Pot Pie)

Hello!! I'm back it again with another delicious, tried, and true recipe for you. I learned this recipe about a couple months ago, and have already made it multiple times. Plus, I have even made it for a large group. So, you know it's good. I will tell you, what makes a chicken pot pie. Or really any pie is the CRUST! I used to be a simpleton that thought the crust didn't matter. Just use that stuff from the store you roll out. So much less mess, and tastes practically the same,WRONG! Surprisingly, homemade crust isn't too hard to make, it just takes a little bit of time and of course love. Which is the secret ingredient in ALL of MY RECIPES! To start I will tell you how to make the crust: This recipe makes 10 small discs of dough. So if you want just a topper you can count that way, but if you want to put crust on the bottom and top you'll have to count accordingly. INGREDIENTS: 2.5 cups of flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 Tbs sugar 12 Tbs of unsalted butter

Adventures in Crocheting

Crochet, not to be confused with knitting. Crochet only has one needle (a needle hook), whereas knitting has two. So, I went to my local Michael's and bought everything I would ever need for crocheting, because I assumed it would be simple. I mean, I'm creative, right? I can learn to crochet, I just need to watch some youtube videos or something. SO WRONG! it took me a couple days to even have the patience to make it fast the first chain. I started out making my headband. I wanted to make a headband, because on pinterest there was this cute headband and it titled "Easy enough, anyone could make this". I'm anyone, I could totally make it. I gave up right away.... I'm telling you guys, I am not the kind of person that likes doing things I'm not good at. Anyway, I start by making a chain, then I realize halfway through that I was supposed to be counting my chains, already screwed everything up. But I am determined. Then I learned how to go up to th

100 Day Creativity Challenge (Days 8-14)

Hey Guys, I'm back- and trying to be even more creative than ever. I love hand lettering, and obviously it is what I think I am good at. But I am determined to be more "creative" in my creativity choices. So, for Day 8 I chose to learn to crochet. Sounds easier said than done, right? Well, you are correct. I was quite terrible. I first started with the chain, pretty easy. A little awkward at first, but then relatively easy. Then I had to move to the next level, that's when it got a little sloppy. But then I ended going up another 4 levels and it got better and better each time. Now I just need to learn something other than a single or double stitch.... What do you think of my #DAY8 ? Alright, moving on to Day 9. I thought I would mix my creativity up a little and make some delicious dessert. When it comes to desserts I usually stick with cookies, brownies, and ice cream. That's usually where I stay, and I enjoy it there- don't get me w

I Will Conquer Mount Sanitas

Hello! I have recently wanted to start hiking more. First, because the mountains call my name every morning and Second, because I have some free time right now... and Third, I am trying to get into better shape. My ultimate goal is to make it the entire Mount Sanitas Loop, which isn't hard for some people, but let me tell you... it's hard if you are a terrible breather and in the worst shape of your life #me. So, I set out to conquer it. And not only to just finish it, but to do it easily. I want this to still be a workout, but an easy workout.... if that makes sense. Anyway, Day One I went out and didn't quite make it to the top. I am a wuss. I have really bad knees from playing softball in college, and I just made a lot of excuses, let's be honest. But even just going half way or however far I got (no clue) was worth it. It stirred a passion in me to go to the mountains as often as I can. Hopefully you can see why in these pictures. I attempted to tak

My favorite bullet journal pages

Hello, So, I have already started my bullet journal as you saw in my  earlier post . But now I am really getting into it. I am so excited every day I get to fill things out or check things off. It makes me feel so accomplished. Plus I get to look at pretty pictures when I am supposed to be productive #dreams.  Anyway, I scoured the internet to find the top pages to have in a bullet journal, and I used my favorites... and ones that actually motivated me and pertained to my life. One thing I learned in my search is that your bullet journal doesn't have to be perfect. You can have mess ups, simple titles, etc. It's a journal just FOR YOU! So, don't stress over perfection, but rulers do help.... and dotted notebooks. I don't claim to be anywhere near perfect. Pretty sure I messed up on every single page, but that's also because my life changes from day to day. I can make a plan years in advance, but that doesn't mean I am going to pass up on dinner with

100 Day Creativity Challenge (Days 1-7)

Hello! So, this week has been kinda crazy. I just quit my job yesterday, and I need something to motivate me. Also, I really want to start blogging and making art more of a priority. So, maybe the mistreatment of my job has a plus side? Maybe. Anyway, I am going to go full force into everything that I love! So, let's begin. I started a 100 day creativity challenge. I know 100 days. That seems like a lot. But the more I think about it the more it makes me think that I haven't done anything for 100 days. I mean apart from things I HAVE to do. But think about it- after 30 days they say you have created a habit. So, after 100 days it'll just be a part of my life I don't think about. It'll become a passion- even more than it already is. I am excited to see if I improve on anything and how many different things I'll try. Will you join me in this challenge?? If I stick with this and LOVE it maybe I'll try other things... like 100 days of working out or eatin
