My favorite bullet journal pages

Hello,

So, I have already started my bullet journal as you saw in my earlier post. But now I am really getting into it. I am so excited every day I get to fill things out or check things off. It makes me feel so accomplished. Plus I get to look at pretty pictures when I am supposed to be productive #dreams.

Anyway, I scoured the internet to find the top pages to have in a bullet journal, and I used my favorites... and ones that actually motivated me and pertained to my life. One thing I learned in my search is that your bullet journal doesn't have to be perfect. You can have mess ups, simple titles, etc. It's a journal just FOR YOU! So, don't stress over perfection, but rulers do help.... and dotted notebooks. I don't claim to be anywhere near perfect. Pretty sure I messed up on every single page, but that's also because my life changes from day to day. I can make a plan years in advance, but that doesn't mean I am going to pass up on dinner with a friend because I wrote that we were having chicken and veggies for dinner. No way, I will live my life and make scratches to my schedule. It gives it character. Anyway, on to the first page....

So, first I wrote everything in black. I measured out the squares so the whole month of October would fit. The October on the side was so much fun. I am usually the person who just uses black and white but decided to do something a little bit more colorful this time. I was really happy with my result.

Next I used all my fall colors to shade and give a cool effect to the letters. This is the finished product. Also, if you are looking for some good markers these Pentel markers are awesome. I mostly love them because they have EVERY single color I could ever want. But they are also a really good size and don't bleed through my paper. But I also have an amazing journal, because I'm weird.... Below are some close ups of the calendar before anything was written in them.

Then I filled it in with my schedule for the month. It's a great way to keep track of what day it is and where you are expected and what times. My husband is all about the Google Calendar.... but I can't do it. I would much rather have it written in my own handwriting so I can see it and remember it better. I know, I'm weird.

So, after you create a monthly schedule you can move on to what's most important to you. I decided what I wanted most out of my bullet journal was meal planning and tracking health goals. You can choose totally different things. If you are a student you could have test and paper schedules, practice schedules, grade goals, budgets, the possibilities are endless. But for me in my life- number one concern is food, always. So here are some menus I've made thus far.

Not going to lie, in the short time that I have had this journal I have actually made all of my breakfasts and lunches. I used to not even eat breakfast, then I would be so hungry at lunch that I would choose to go out for lunch. Terrible. For my body and my wallet. So, this has helped me in saving money and getting healthier, I have already lost 3 pounds. Go me!

The next few pages are all about goal tracking. Making sure that I am actually taking steps each day to reach my goals. This month I am really focused on health. I was to workout more, drink more water, get all my steps, and of course eat from home more. These are my attempts at tracking these behaviors.

Being able to track these behaviors every day and actually think about if I did them or not has made me make healthier decisions. I love this journal. Also, just like I said earlier about how this journal is FOR YOU... these pages aren't super artsy, but they motivate ME. That is all that matters. #gethealthylookHOTTTT #with4Ts

Side note:
I don't know why I am so obsessed with hashtags... they just crack me up, so I hope you enjoy them.

Alright, the last page I will share on this post is my Quotes Page. I love quotes, I have had a quote board pretty much my entire life. I can quote millions of movies, tv shows, you name it. I love quotes, hence the emphasis on hand lettering. This is my anti stress page...

This gives you an excuse to practice your art, have fun, and discover new fonts and techniques to use in the rest of your bullet journal. These are just a couple of my favorite pages, stay tuned for more in a blog post I will post later.... #laterblog < can that be a thing?

100 Day Creativity Challenge (Days 8-14)

Hey Guys, I'm back- and trying to be even more creative than ever. I love hand lettering, and obviously it is what I think I am good at. But I am determined to be more "creative" in my creativity choices. So, for Day 8 I chose to learn to crochet. Sounds easier said than done, right? Well, you are correct. I was quite terrible. I first started with the chain, pretty easy. A little awkward at first, but then relatively easy. Then I had to move to the next level, that's when it got a little sloppy. But then I ended going up another 4 levels and it got better and better each time. Now I just need to learn something other than a single or double stitch.... What do you think of my #DAY8 ? Alright, moving on to Day 9. I thought I would mix my creativity up a little and make some delicious dessert. When it comes to desserts I usually stick with cookies, brownies, and ice cream. That's usually where I stay, and I enjoy it there- don't get me w...

100 Day Creativity Challenge (Days 29-35)

I know, I know... I am super behind... But I am determined to catch up! Day 29, I have been wanting to get better with my ipad and Apple pencil.... since I have one and don't want to waste my money. Anyway, this isn't my best work, and I haven't found the best pens to use... I'll get there. Plus this replay time lapse is the coolest thing ever. Here's #DAY29 On to day 30, I have finally made this a habit! Today I used my chalk markers on slate. I chose a Zombieland quote, because it makes me happy. Here it is #DAY30 Day 31. So, I want to apologize for today... My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary (early) and I took some pretty pictures and mixed my own cocktail.. I'd call that creative. I know these snippets are really short.... Anyway, Day 32 I decided to commemorate our anniversary trip at Devil's Thumb Ranch (MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE EVER!!!) So, this is my creative project for #DAY32 Moving on to Day 33, I...
