100 Day Creativity Challenge (Days 36-42)

On to the next week!

Day 36. My husband and I went to his cousins' house for Thanksgiving and we brought an appetizer. It's a very pretty app. It's called SEVEN LAYER MEXICAN DIP, but I don't like olives- so it's only 6 layers.
1. refried beans
2. guacamole
3. mayo/sour cream/taco seasoning
4. shredded cheese
5. tomatoes
6. green onions
Check it out in my #DAY36

You guys, I am getting very uncreative. But at least everyday is different. I love this Game of Thrones quote from Tyrion, and I love these wine glass markers I got from my brother last Christmas. So, I wrote it on my wine glass for the night. Here is #DAY37

Today I decided to mix up my hand lettering on Day 38. I usually stick to brush lettering and or cursive, but today I wanted to show more of what I can do. Block lettering with shading. Hope you like it, this is #DAY38

For Day 39 I decided to exploit my husband.... HAHA!! just kidding- I was practicing taking pictures. I still need a new lens for my camera, but this one does pretty good. We went and played disc golf, and just anywhere in Boulder has this great of a view #SPOILED #blessed Here it is #DAY39

For Day 40 I went for a hike. The hike was called Sugarloaf Mountain. How cool is that name. So, of course I expected it to be very magical and dreamlike. Almost like I was walking through Candyland, but with trees and stuff.... Anyway, it did not disappoint. Pretty easy hike, but it was BEAUTIFUL! The dead trees, the continental divide, everything. This is #DAY40

Now, for day 41 it was TWO YEARS married to the love of my life. So I made him a sign because we already celebrated at DTR. Here it is, #DAY41

Next, I was debating making Christmas cards, but then ended up doodling instead. This is #DAY42

100 Day Creativity Challenge (Days 8-14)

Hey Guys, I'm back- and trying to be even more creative than ever. I love hand lettering, and obviously it is what I think I am good at. But I am determined to be more "creative" in my creativity choices. So, for Day 8 I chose to learn to crochet. Sounds easier said than done, right? Well, you are correct. I was quite terrible. I first started with the chain, pretty easy. A little awkward at first, but then relatively easy. Then I had to move to the next level, that's when it got a little sloppy. But then I ended going up another 4 levels and it got better and better each time. Now I just need to learn something other than a single or double stitch.... What do you think of my #DAY8 ? Alright, moving on to Day 9. I thought I would mix my creativity up a little and make some delicious dessert. When it comes to desserts I usually stick with cookies, brownies, and ice cream. That's usually where I stay, and I enjoy it there- don't get me w...

Easiest pork EVER

Kalua Pig Okay this recipe takes all day in your slow cooker, but seriously so easy!!!! I got this recipe from a blog called Whole30 Cooking. And they call it Kalua Pig, which is just so cool and I love it. I love that you can eat pork on Whole30! Life is good. Also, click here to see what to do with your leftovers! Anyway, onto the recipe. INGREDIENTS: 5 lbs pork shoulder  2 tablespoons liquid smoke  2-3 tablespoons Pink Himalayan Salt  DIRECTIONS: 1. Rinse pork and pat dry. Place in a slow cooker.  2. Stab holes all over the pork with a knife. 3. On one side put 1 Tbs. of liquid smoke and 1 Tbs. of salt and the same on the other side.  4. Cook on low for 10 hours. (I know it's a long time) Shred (but not too thin) in slow cooker and serve.  Serve with charred cabbage or really anything. You can buy a head of cabbage or shredded cabbage (because Trader Joe's only has shredded cabbage, punks). And I threw it in a s...
