Starting a bullet journal

hey yall!

I decided to take my doodling and love for schedules to the next level. I have officially started a bullet journal!

I figured you could just buy any old journal, but no. You need all the things. Especially if you’re weird like me. I needed the pages to be numbered, every page dotted so I could write straight, and it had to be big enough that I can actually write in my journal. That is probably my biggest pet peeve about journaling. You want to fit so much on each page and journals are so tiny. I’d rather use a huge dry erase board or something. But that’s not as pretty or fun. Plus you have to erase it, and that would just break my heart.

Anyway, I bought this journal, and it’s huge. It looks like one of those portfolio folders artists have, but not quite so massive. I was very excited. I just didn’t tell my husband how much it cost. But he also just bought a box of like 10 fidget spinners, so I think we are even. The journal I got is called leuchtturm1917 A4. Most bullet journals I saw online were an A5 size, but I had just ordered a journal that was WAY too small and may have gone a little overboard with the size. BUT I LOVE IT!!!!

This is it....

I added the G myself, for my last name. And so it wasn’t super boring. There was also a bunch of different color journals you could get. But if you are really serious about journaling this is the brand I would recommend. The paper doesn’t bleed, pages are numbered, pages dotted, and it has a pocket. Anything with a pocket makes me happy. #dresseswithpockets

So right when I took it out of the box I I wanted to draw or write something, but I didn’t have a great idea. So, I decided to just make a title page so see how everything writes and looks and feels. This is what I came up with.

Very simple, but a fun way to start journalling. Now I am going to spend hours getting my calendar and weekly plans all spaced out and looking fabulous. I'm so excited!! Look out for my next post about Bullet journaling, coming soon.

100 Day Creativity Challenge (Days 8-14)

Hey Guys, I'm back- and trying to be even more creative than ever. I love hand lettering, and obviously it is what I think I am good at. But I am determined to be more "creative" in my creativity choices. So, for Day 8 I chose to learn to crochet. Sounds easier said than done, right? Well, you are correct. I was quite terrible. I first started with the chain, pretty easy. A little awkward at first, but then relatively easy. Then I had to move to the next level, that's when it got a little sloppy. But then I ended going up another 4 levels and it got better and better each time. Now I just need to learn something other than a single or double stitch.... What do you think of my #DAY8 ? Alright, moving on to Day 9. I thought I would mix my creativity up a little and make some delicious dessert. When it comes to desserts I usually stick with cookies, brownies, and ice cream. That's usually where I stay, and I enjoy it there- don't get me w...

Easiest pork EVER

Kalua Pig Okay this recipe takes all day in your slow cooker, but seriously so easy!!!! I got this recipe from a blog called Whole30 Cooking. And they call it Kalua Pig, which is just so cool and I love it. I love that you can eat pork on Whole30! Life is good. Also, click here to see what to do with your leftovers! Anyway, onto the recipe. INGREDIENTS: 5 lbs pork shoulder  2 tablespoons liquid smoke  2-3 tablespoons Pink Himalayan Salt  DIRECTIONS: 1. Rinse pork and pat dry. Place in a slow cooker.  2. Stab holes all over the pork with a knife. 3. On one side put 1 Tbs. of liquid smoke and 1 Tbs. of salt and the same on the other side.  4. Cook on low for 10 hours. (I know it's a long time) Shred (but not too thin) in slow cooker and serve.  Serve with charred cabbage or really anything. You can buy a head of cabbage or shredded cabbage (because Trader Joe's only has shredded cabbage, punks). And I threw it in a s...
