100 Day Creativity Challenge (Days 64-70)

We are moving along. We are almost done with 100 Days!!!! So Happy. I will apologize for the next two weeks, I travelled home to St. Louis for Christmas/New Years and some days are not too creative, but some are still really cool.

Anyway, Day 64 I posted a latergram..... because we were driving literally ALL DAY! and I forgot my yarn at home. This is another page from my December Bullet journal. #DAY64

Day 65 was a little better, and might I add wildly "creative". I used the packet of paper from our hotel (we had a wedding this weekend) to jot down a little doodle, and to encourage people to use whatever is around you. Creativity is everywhere. #DAY65

#DAY66 I was finally home. My mom told me to draw some stockings..... Not my best work, but it's cute if you ignore the minor mistakes....

Day 67, We celebrated Christmas with my husband's family!! I was given these adorable photobooth stencils. I put them together and it was super fun. #DAY67

Then #DAY68 was Christmas at my parents' house. We had photobooth fun, and played rob your neighbor with my siblings. LOVE!

NOW here's day 69! I know, this is the lowest of the lows.... I went to a friend's house for a hot tub party. I was busy all day as well. So, I stole some computer paper and wrote out the obvious. I apologize, but it's still kind of cute, right? #DAY69

Finally, Day 70. I was busy all day again.... I know, excuses excuses. But I stole my creativity from my sister. She's the real hero in this world. LOVE HER! She made pork tacos and slaw. Also her husband made this amazing live edge table. AND she introduced me to the best drink in the world, a friskey!! fresca and whiskey. #DAY70

How to Spatchcock a Turkey

Are you ready to find out the secret to an amazing Thanksgiving turkey? Is it brining? Basting? Butter under the skin? WHAT IS IT?!?! It's called spatchcocking and it is a Godsend. Note: you can also do this to chicken or any poultry (it will probably be different cooking times and whatnot) What is spatchcocking? Spatchcocking means you remove the backbone and lay your bird flat (don't worry I will do a step by step tutorial below). You do this so your legs and breasts cook at relatively the same time. With this method you want the breasts to end at about 150 degrees and the legs to end at about 165 degrees. Which is why we removed our legs in case they needed to cook longer. How to Prepare a spatchcocked turkey?  First, we bought a turkey. You buy one pound per guest. We had to get a frozen one because we bought it a week and a half early... But if you are cooking for Thanksgiving I highly recommend getting a fresh bird. There is no need to get one that is pre ...

100 Day Creativity Challenge (Days 29-35)

I know, I know... I am super behind... But I am determined to catch up! Day 29, I have been wanting to get better with my ipad and Apple pencil.... since I have one and don't want to waste my money. Anyway, this isn't my best work, and I haven't found the best pens to use... I'll get there. Plus this replay time lapse is the coolest thing ever. Here's #DAY29 On to day 30, I have finally made this a habit! Today I used my chalk markers on slate. I chose a Zombieland quote, because it makes me happy. Here it is #DAY30 Day 31. So, I want to apologize for today... My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary (early) and I took some pretty pictures and mixed my own cocktail.. I'd call that creative. I know these snippets are really short.... Anyway, Day 32 I decided to commemorate our anniversary trip at Devil's Thumb Ranch (MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE EVER!!!) So, this is my creative project for #DAY32 Moving on to Day 33, I...

100 Day Creativity Challenge (Days 71-77)

I'm gonna go really fast, so hold onto your hats! #DAY71, my family and I went to the St. Louis Botanical Gardens for their Garden Glow event. It was so fun, cold, but beautiful! Then #DAY72 I had a girls day with my sister and mom. It was super fun, and it reminded me how much I love them!!! This is done using my dad's old Boeing notebook.... creative, I know. #DAY73 I found a cute little heart tree on Pinterest! Maybe I'll use this for next year's Christmas card!! Now for #DAY74 it was New Years Eve and my friend asked me to make a recycle sign for his laundry shoot that he macgyvered. Then #DAY75 it was New Year's Day and as always, my mom made Hoppin john! Supposedly it is good luck to eat black eyed peas on January 1st. It Was So Yummy! #Day76 was the day we drove back to Colorado. I know.... I am so creative.
